お知らせ 極限環境生物学会は、2023年度以降もMicrobes and Environments (M&E)誌の共同編集に継続して参画することとなりました。本誌は、日本微生物生態学会、本学会の他、日本土壌微生物学会、植物微生物研究会、台湾微生物生態学会が共同編集へ参画しております。共同編集参画への継続に際し、極限環境生物学会では、当学会員のMicrobes and Environments (M&E)誌 (IF 2.596)の活用を促進するため、極限環境微生物特集号の編集を企画します。本特集号では、高温、低温、アルカリ・酸性、高塩、乾燥、高放射線、有機溶媒汚染環境などの極限・特殊環境に関連する微生物の生理・生態に関する論文は勿論、極限環境微生物の生化学や分子生物学的な論文、一般環境微生物の極限環境ストレスへの応答に関する論文など広い範囲の論文を対象とします。 M&E誌は、PubMedに掲載されるオープンアクセスジャーナルであり、本誌に掲載された論文は多くの方に読んで頂けるため、研究の注目度の上昇が期待できます。また、共同編集参画学会会員からの論文は掲載決定後2ヶ月以内に完全な形で公表されます。なお、昨今の円安等から論文掲載費が高騰し、研究費を逼迫しておりますが、非常にリーズナブルな価格設定（共同編集参画学会会員価格60,000円/報、非会員140,000円/報）であり、更に共同編集参画学会会員からの2022年内（12月末日まで）の投稿論文については50,000円/報とする投稿促進キャンペーンが実施中です。この機会に是非特集号での論文発表をご検討いただければと思います。 論文受付は2022年9月より開始し、2023年10月末をもって完全に締め切ります。M＆E誌ではインタラクティブで丁寧な査読による論文の質向上を進めておりますので早期投稿を歓迎いたします。 Senior Editor 布浦　拓郎 Associate Editors 若井　暁 小西　正朗 八波　利恵

Call for papers We would like to let you know about a Special Issue “Extremophiles” in Microbes and Environments (M&E), which is international, peer-reviewed, and open access journal. Authors who is a member of M&E supporting societies, can publish a paper in the Special Issue by a reasonable in price. Please see below. [Important Information To Be Noted] 1. Aims and Scope for the Issue: To stimulate studies of extremophiles, the special Issue of “Extremophiles” scopes issues for extremophiles including thermophiles, psychrophiles, acidophiles, alkaliphiles, halophiles, desiccation tolerant microbes, organic solvent-tolerant microbes in physiology, ecology, biochemistry, and molecular biology, and the extreme stress responses for environmental habitants. 2. For a corresponding author, who is a member of Japanese Society of Microbial Ecology (JSME), Japanese Society for Extremophiles (JSE), Japanese Society of Soil Microbiology (JSSM), Taiwan Society of Microbial Ecology (TSME), and Japanese Society of Plant Microbe Interactions (JSPMI), the article processing charge is 60,000 JPY/article. (Please note that it is 140,000 JPY/article for a nonmember corresponding author, and is 50,000 JPY/article in a discount campaign for the members in 2022.)
